Hot Temps and House of Hepworths

Good morning. I woke up sticky and sweaty today. I don’t like to sweat, I mean like ever. At 6:00 am the thermostat read 80. That’s not horrid, but that is not what it should be reading at 6 am and today is supposed to be in the 90’s! Then I heard it, the death buzz. What’s the death buzz? It’s that horrid sound the outside air conditioning units make when the fan motor has stopping working. It’s usually followed by a loud “clunk-chunk”, the final death call.  The downstairs unit went out earlier this summer when it was 106 outside and awesome our AC guy, Wes from Artic Breeze, came to the rescue at 8:30 at night. He patched things up temporarily but warned us we’d need new units soon. Well “soon” obviously arrived today. Uhg.

So this morning instead of my hot and steamy pot of coffee I’m enjoying the iced version instead. Have you all tried this yet? It’s quite yummy and making my morning a bit cooler.

And because it’s too hot to work on projects today, I’ll send you all over to my very talented friend Allison’s blog, House of Hepworths!

I’m guest posting for her today!

I’ll be teaching 3 different ways how to add coastal design to your home.

Sorry about the AC 🙁 Why do they always seem to beak down on the hottest day of the year?? I guess I should not be complaining about my summer heat. No where near yours. YIKES!! Enjoy your iced coffee, and go shopping 😀 the stores have AC. Luv me some retail therapy…
    Cheers, Gee

Stopping by via HOH–and I’m your newest follower! I have stopped by a few other times, and enjoyed it, so now I’m making it official!

We went through the same thing last month – ended up in a hotel with 2 kids and 2 dogs for 9 days – good luck. It will feel so good when the cool starts up again.
