Front Yard Landscape Planning

gardening· sponsored

We all have been experiencing crazy spring weather this year. Our temperatures down south here have been behaving like Jekyll and Hyde! The sporadic days of sunny and warm temps have me excited to begin spring yard projects. The first project this spring is to do some front yard landscape planning. This is what the front of our house and yard look like currently. It is in need of some sprucing and cleaning up!

The front yard of our home has quite a large expanse of grass, which takes a very long time to mow, much to my son’s chagrin. Years ago we put in a curving path, leading up to the front door, to not only make approaching the front door more accessible for guests, but to also break up the sea of grass.

Oh my…that path way is in desperate need of a power washing! This spring I’d like to improve our home’s curb appeal and landscape, and create new planting beds right at the base of the curved path. I have been searching for front yard landscaping ideas and I’ve put together a Pinterest board full of gorgeous front yards like this amazing yard pictured below.

This is what I am planning so far for the location of the front beds. I might change my mind and extend further. But first things first. That grass is going to have to be killed off before we start.

I have a very fast, easy and effective product to use: Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer. Once I spray it, I will see results as quick as 3 hours. And thankfully it will kill the grass and any weeds down to the roots, so I won’t have to worry about the old grass or weeds growing back up through my new beds.

I’m excited to get started this weekend!

To all of my yard warriors, whether you are after a total yard overhaul or just want to keep your yard looking its best, visit the Spectracide Facebook page for tips and savings to get started.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Spectracide. The opinions and text are all mine.
