Simple Valentine Tablescape

Valentines

When Valentine’s time arrives each year I bake up delights like Red Velvet Whoopie Pies and Chocolate Raspberry Croissants,

but rarely have I ever decorated for Valentine’s Day.

Go ahead, call me Scrooge…

wait…wrong holiday.

If you love all things frilly, lovey dovey, pinky, sticky sweet, heart covered, cupid cuddling decorating,

then girlfriend, more power to you!

I….just…can’t.

But I adore the color red and little touches around the home are nice reminders of this season of love.

My sister Beth, at The Stories of A2Z, is hosting a Valentines Mantel Party today so I wanted to participate.

There is one problem, my mantel is overtaken by this behemoth!

lame mantel

Fifty-two flat panel inches messing up mama’s mantel masterpieces!

Thankfully, Beth allows any mantel-scape, table-scape, shelf-scape, piano-scape…you get the point.

A Valentine dessert table-scape is what I chose to decorate.

It’s simple and perfect for an nice evening in, entertaining with friends, family, and all whom you love.

Do you decorate for Valentine’s? Have a mantle or flat surface you’d like to give some seasonal love to?

Then head on over to The Stories of A2Z and join the party, because you’re invited!

OH!! It’s beautiful! I LOVE IT!! I’m so happy my hubby bought me a faux mantel. I have a bar to decorate but it’s always taken over by the contents of his pockets!! MEN!

Pure elegance and so much better than a flat screen mantel. Thanks for sharing with us all. Love the roses the most.

My husband just decided the perfect place for a tv would be above the fireplace, so don’t hate me for hiding this post from him! I’m hoping if I keep my mouth shut he will forget about it!

Your dessert table is gorgeous! I love the corks and roses together 🙂

I have just barely recovered from putting all the Christmas decorations away. No way am I starting all over for a one day event. I do love to make some special “love” food for the family and your croissants are definitely going to make the cut!!

Sorry, I refuse to celebrate LOVE one day per year. In our home love lives 365 days a year.

Nevertheless I tried your little hearts with the raspberries. They came out fabulous and my sweetheart disappeared them reaaaaally fast. Next week I will upload the recipe with photos and of course mention to your blog. Love, M.
