I love opening up an email from loyal Sand & Sisal readers who have applied my tutorials and created something beautiful in their home. I received a sweet note from Camille Soler of Puerto Rico. She was inspired by the water closet area of my master bath and used my Painting Stripes Made Easy tutorial to transform her bathroom.

Didn’t she do an amazing job? What a transformation! I’m crushing over that gorgeous glass sink and driftwood accent mirror too!

Very pretty Camille! I am pretty sure any stripe I may attempt would be so so not a straight line no matter how great the tutorial may be so I don’t even attempt. Which is all the more reason why I am in awe of those who can make them look soooo good.

Is there a way to find out the colors she used? I would love to do it in my sons room!

Beautiful, Camille! I think you just gave me the inspiration I need to re-paint my bedroom, which is beachy but with blah walls. I just couldnt figure out which of three colors to use to give it more life…white, sand or a beachy green. I was leaning toward the sand color but thought I might regret not having the other colors on the walls. And then BAM! I saw your pics. Problem solved! I’m going to extend it into my bath as well. Thank you!
