Indigo and Orange Fall Front Porch – Autumn Blog Hop

Autumn· decorating· decorating inspiration· fall

Today is officially the 1st day of fall! To kick off the season I’ve partnered with 5 of my lovely and talented friends for a Fall in Love Autumn Blog Hop hosted by Balsam Hill . Our hopes are to inspire you with beautiful and festive decorating ideas to help you fall in love with your home! The autumn blog hop starts with French Country Cottage‘s gorgeous home, so welcome friends if you are arriving from there!

For those of you who took my Coastal Fall Home Tour, you know that I love to decorate the inside of my home for fall with a soft and quiet neutral color palette full of white pumpkins, shimmery gold accents, weathered woods, and dried hydrangeas. But this year I’m going bright and bold outside with an eye popping Indigo and Orange Fall Front Porch!

This summer we did a little front door refreshing with new high tech hardware and a coat of Infinite Deep Sea blue (Behr). When I saw this bright and beautiful Autumn Acorn Wreath I knew the orange fall foliage would look amazing against the indigo door.  The wreath was the inspiration for the rest of the porch.

Cheerful orange, crimson, and white mums along with flowering cabbage from the local garden center and big jack-o-lantern pumpkins greet my guests as they walk up the steps.

A few faux white pumpkins and white baby boos are added in and grouped together with the white mums and cabbage.

When the sun slowly slips below the trees is when the twilight magic begins!

The grapevine twig pumpkins twinkle and shine.

The milky white pumpkins and mums suddenly take on a luminescent harvest moon glow.

But I think my favorite part of the porch is the flickering candlelight in the lanterns. Balsam Hill’s miracle flame candles look so crazy real that my family was totally fooled by their realistic moving flame. It moves, literally. So beautiful!

A few pretty bleached pinecones are scattered around the steps too. Learn how to make your own beautifully bleached pincones HERE.
